Massacre

The annual dolphin hunting season starts this month in Taiji, Japan. Every year, scores of dolphins are massacred as part of a traditional hunting exercise that lasts for six whole months. Boats go out and herd pods of migrating dolphins into the cove in Taiji and then attack them with spears and knives. The water turns this blood shade of red after the killings.
A documentary titled ‘The Cove’ brought this horrifying event to our screens.
