Adrift

There is some comfort - and a fair bit of terror - in the knowledge that wherever the tide takes you, you got there because of what you did with your circumstances. Because of who you're growing into.
There should be more comfort from that, but mostly it's just hoping to high heaven that you're improvising skilfully and not floating purposefully to the edge of the world.
