Taking a selfie with a tiger may be on your bucket list but once you look beyond the obvious, it’s really not worth it. This giant big cat drugged out of its wits, almost lifeless, while her babies are dragged, pulled away from her, screaming, starving and helpless, put in small cages so you can fondle them.

I’ve fallen prey to the temptation at a Lion farm once, where I picked up this mute, lifeless, zombied baby lion. Every time, I think of it, I am disgusted. I am much more careful now.

Most tiger temples run this way, even funding a quiet wildlife trade racket on the side. But even those that don’t, why see this big cat this way? Stripped of her senses. See her in the wild, see her power, her pride in a forest. Then, touch her if you dare, on equal footing, yeah?
